International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8th of March every year around the world. It is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights that celebrated the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
We hope that you had a great celebration whatever you got up to this month and hope you used the day to celebrate the contributions of one woman worldwide.
The IWD 2020 campaign theme is drawn from a notion of ‘Collective Individualism’.
We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements.
We are all parts of a whole. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviours and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society. Collectively, we can make change happen.
Collectively, we can each help to create a gender equal world. We can all choose to be #EachforEqual.
What will you do differently going forward to ensure the voices, actions and contributions of women are heard and respected?
